Following recent announcements the government have set an indicative date of 12th April when Holiday Parks will be able to re-open their doors to both owners and holidaymakers.
This is the date we have all been waiting for, and we are working hard to get ready to welcome you back. As you will appreciate there will be additional delays in opening some facilities including swimming pool, entertainment and bars, but we will open these just as soon as it is permissible.
Our programme of upgrades and maintenance continued over the winter months, and you will see some noticeable improvements to your park. We think you’ll like them.

Please note, due to the recent government restrictions, we have now been placed into tier 4 as of midnight on the 30 December.

Life on the park may be a little different for our staff during the upcoming lockdown. For this reason, we will be closing our reception area to visitors. We know you will still have questions and queries for us and we will always be available to answer them.

The UK Government have announced their intention to reintroduce lockdown restrictions across England, effective from Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December.
Unfortunately, this means that your Holiday Park will be required to close during this period. As these dates may be reviewed by the government, they may be extended later. We request that you follow government guidelines and vacate your holiday home by midnight Wednesday 4th November.
Please be assured that we are following government directions as well as guidance from our two industry bodies – The British Holiday and Home Parks Association (BHHPA) and the National Caravan Council (NCC). For the duration of this particular lockdown, you will be credited with £150 for the inconvenience of not being able to enjoy your holiday home*.

We are delighted to welcome all our loyal and patient owners back to Solway Holiday Village after what has been and remains a very testing and worrying time for us all. Our thoughts are with any of you who may have suffered either directly or indirectly as a result of the pandemic.
We promised to get back to you as to how we may be able to recognise how government restrictions have prevented you from the use of your holiday home during lockdown. We thank you for bearing with us. We have been taking advice from our industry body, the British Holiday and Home Parks Association, and have been following the varied reports in the news media over the recent past.
As you know, your site licence agreement with us allows you to pitch your holiday home on our park for 12 months a year. The park facilitated this during the closed period even though you were denied the enjoyment.
The park was closed from 23rd March to 4th July – a total of 102 days. We propose to rebate a portion of this closed period as a gesture of goodwill to our loyal customers, and to apply some against your 2021 site fees and some as a £75 voucher to be used in our Bar/Bistro before 31st August 2021.
For our customers on standard pitches, this rebate is £320 (£245 against 2021 site fees and £75 voucher) and for those in lodges, this is £370 (£295 against 2021 site fees and £75 voucher).
In addition to this we are delighted to announce a £500 straight discount to all our owners on our lowest advertised price for any holiday home (2021 models only) purchased before 31st August 2021.
We have some restricted bar facilities open and are striving to have pool facilities open just as soon as we can and know that you will continue to bear with us as we navigate our way through the safety issues involved.
We are aware some competitor parks are offering no rebates of any description and most rebates are at a much lower level. We hope that you will appreciate the commitment that this represents to you, our Owner community. Across our 4 parks, this commitment amounts to approximately £250,000 which, given the recent damage to our industry, is extremely significant.
